I’m posting about this on social media today, but thought I’d give you guys the inside scoop. We knew when we moved to the L.A. area God had a plan for us to serve Him here. What we didn’t know was that He’d lead me to write a book about the amazingly loving way He heals the brokenhearted.
It’s a good thing I didn’t realize what it took to actually get a book launched from start to finish. Otherwise, I’m not sure this project would have ever begun. Along the way, I came across this quote from Thomas Edison. It’s a little worn because I’ve had it taped to my reading lamp for many long months. Displayed at eye level, it was the companion to a message from an encouraging friend and a couple of scriptures, too. Yep, my lamp post looked like a tattered sticky-note pole, but the words on it often inspired me to keep on going.
Through these 20 months of literary focus, I’ve prayed possibly more than I have on one subject through my entire life. While I searched for God-inspired wording, I also received some deep heart healing of my own. That alone was well worth the effort!
Yesterday, I sent the final manuscript to the publishing consultant I’m working with. He’ll be formatting it for printing and will finish the cover design soon, too. The title? Ahhh, coming soon!
